Sunrise Day Camp Offers Unique Experience for Children with Cancer

Sunrise Day Camp, with the help of people like Corey Ribotsky, offers a much needed alternative to sleep-away camp for children with cancer.

The day camp is professionally operated by the Friedberg JCC, and offers, free of charge, a full summer program which includes ball fields, swimming pools, club houses, volleyball, basketball, easily accessible playgrounds, ponds with ducks and fish, art center, miniature golf, driving range and more. After the full day of “fun in the sun” children then return to their homes in the evenings, where they can enjoy the comfort, safety and security of familiar surroundings and family members.

Sunrise Day Camp for Children with Cancer

  Unique in the nation, the Sunrise Day Camp supports children, aged from 3-16, who are ailing from cancer or related disorders. The camp is offered to these children in crisis for free, on a non-sectarian basis.

The dedicated staff at Sunrise Day Camp is dedicated to insuring that children in their care receive the emotional, social, recreational and physical support that they need.

The NIR Group, headquartered in Roslyn, New York, with Corey Ribotsky as managing member, is happy and proud to be involved in the wonderful work that Sunrise Day Camp is doing for these children.

Corey Ribotsky is the founder and managing member of the NIR Group in Roslyn, Long Island. Despite his busy schedule and demanding profession, he is still able to give of himself to various worthwhile causes in the greater New York/Long Island vicinity.

One of these very special organizations is the Sunrise Day Camp. Sunrise is the only day camp in the United States which is exclusively dedicated to children with cancer.

Children from as young as three and as old as 16 are welcomed to the beautiful 300-acre wooded site which is located on the Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds on the border between Suffolk and Nassau counties in Long Island.
