On October 20th, families and friends of the Children’s Medical Fund joined Lester’s for an evening of music and fashion at Old Westbury Country Club. The event opened with dinner, cocktails and raffle and auction prizes. Activities including Wendy the “pied piper” of pipe cleaners, photos and dog tags by ESP/TRU FIT and amazing magic tricks by Keith Rothschild were also popular throughout the evening. Over four hundred guests were present, and eighty five children ruled the runway, escorted by the music of the Rosalyn Theater Company. A live auction was held for an internship with Donny Deutsch and a signed poster of the Glee club. The event raised $125,000 for the Child Life Department.
The Children’s Medical Fund of New York, with president Corey Ribotsky, is an organization which works to improve child health care as well as the patient and family experiences while hospitalized.
